Our
very active Board of Deacons totally devotes its time and
energy to pastoral care. Each of our 24 deacons has a
portion of the congregation for which he or she is
responsible. This responsibility is to
keep a finger on the pulse of
each family, assist them as needed (and as the deacon is
able) and to report information to the pastoral staff in
order for them to respond. While this Shepherding
Program is the
mainstay of the Board, it is also involved in chancel
flower delivery, transportation for sick and shut-ins and
food delivery for the sick, shut-in or recently
bereaved.
