Fellowship Meals
Our Congregational Care Ministry prepares meals for our congregation in a variety of ways at a variety of times. The Works ... our (in season) Wednesday night dinner/education event begins at 5:00PM with a delicious meal of your favorite comfort food. For a donation of $5.00 per person (family maximum of $15.00) one can eat like a king or queen. In April, the ministry hosts a church picnic. Each family brings a favorite dish and the church provides grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. The 2006 version of the picnic was held on our campus for the first time and it has begun a trend as it was a smashing success! The picnic usually features such things as a bounce house and pony rides for the children.
Mariners
We have an active Mariners program ... fellowship with a nautical theme. This large organization meets throughout the year (although it is most active from October to May). Participants are divided into some 8 to 10 ships (no, you don't have to own a boat to belong ... we just call our groups ships), which meet as often as the crew decides. They sail to local restaurants, dinner theaters, other points of interest, or to a crew member's home for food, fun and fellowship.
