Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. The program began in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens) in 1994 with 34 families, and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 35 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses all denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through materials that are placed in each food order. Blessings by the box
Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu containing 18 to 20 items is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen food with an average retail value of approximately $75. Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

For $28 participants may purchase a Senior Box that includes 10 individual heat-and-serve meals. Each meal is nutritionally balanced for seniors.

Specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork are available to those who purchase a basic unit or a Senior Box. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices.

Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or Specialty Boxes an individual can purchase, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.

How it Works
By buying food from first rate suppliers at substantial volume discounts, Angel Food Ministries is able to provide families with value and quality. Angel Food Ministries does not use out-of-date food or inferior products.

Food Stamp Program
To better help families in need, Angel Food Ministries participates in the Food Stamp Program. Each month, by processing the most offline Food Stamp vouchers in the country, Angel Food is helping feed approximately 500,000 people in the United States.

Purchasing Angel Food Online or at the Church
There are no restrictions or conditions to meet in order to purchase Angel Food. The food relief program is open to everyone. Anyone may purchase an unlimited number of boxes by placing an order.
