Often described as “The Other Florida” with its deep-rooted history, rolling hills, canopy roads and Southern-style hospitality, Tallahassee is a Florida few have seen. On the way to Tallahassee we will stop in Florida’s “Little Kentucky” otherwise known as Ocala horse country and visit Young’s Paso Fino Ranch. We will have a tour of the ranch and a ring-side demonstration of these beautiful horses. The Paso Fino horse reflects its Spanish heritage through its proud carriage, grace and elegance. With its lively but controlled spirit, natural gait and presence, and responsive attitude, the Paso Fino is indeed a rare and desirable equine partner. While in Tallahassee we will have a guided motorcoach tour of historic Tallahassee and tour the two capital buildings. The historic capital has been restored to its 1902 appearance with stained glass dome and candy striped awnings. In the new capital building, we will see the house and senate viewing galleries as well as the breathtaking panoramic view of Tallahassee from the 22nd floor observatory. Before leaving for home, we will tour Goodwood Museum and Gardens. This is the former home of a succession of prominent owners. This magnificent circa 1834 estate features more then twenty structures and a 19 acre heirloom garden.
