The Outreach ministry answers God’s call by actively serving communities at the local, national, and international levels. The ministry’s commitment is demonstrated through the provision of financial support, food, essential items, and dedicated volunteer time. Major initiatives include:
- Supporting a food pantry that serves over 600 families each week.
- Volunteering at a group boys foster home.
- Delivering meals to students for weekends.
- Building houses in partnership with Habitat for Humanity/Apostles Build.
- Collaborating with a range of national and international mission partners.
You will find more information about our mission support, with links to their websites, on our Missions page.
In addition to mission initiatives, the Outreach ministry reaches out to visitors, neighbors, and the broader local community both within and outside our walls. This welcoming spirit is reflected in several initiatives.
- First Time Visitor, Narthex, and Carousel administrating. Volunteers personally greet newcomers, provide them with welcome bags, and gather their contact information from the carousel. The carousel is maintained to promote church events and encourage volunteerism.
- Community Engagement involves the ministry actively engaging with the community by organizing and hosting a variety of events designed for individuals of all ages. One of the key annual events is Winter Fair, which offers activities for children and families. Additionally, the Concert series, a tradition at BSPC for over 30 years, continues to bring people together through music and celebration. Visit our Concert Series page for more information.
- Website & Social Media – This ministry is responsible for ensuring both the church’s website and social media channels effectively communicate its purpose and objectives to members as well as the broader community.
- Promotion & Advertising – The ministry oversees press releases, works with the Chamber of Commerce on promotional activities, and invests in paid advertising to showcase special events.
Outreach ministry meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 10:00 AM in room 3/5. For additional information or to get involved, please contact the Outreach ministry.
